Richard invited his friend, Christina, over to his house after school. He always liked her, and today was the day he was going to tell her. He didn't want to say it at school since it felt too public of a place to admit it, what with everyone being all lovey-dovey on this Valentine's Day. They talked and looked up random things on the internet in his room. Richard's parents were out late tonight, which he took as a sign. He felt a weird pain in his mouth, probably from grinding his teeth with anxiety.
After making them a quick dinner, Christina asked her mom if she could spend the night at his mouth. Her mother knew he was a good boy and agreed to let her stay since it was a Friday night, no school to worry about the next day. His heart raced, his body shook, but it wasn't any ordinary nerves. He slid down beside his bed, worried about what was going on with him.
She joined him, trying to feel his forehead for a fever, but he knew it was something else. He looked at the calender and saw today's date was circled in red, indicating it was a full moon night. "How could I have been so stupid?!" he shouted. She didn't understand, and was instructed to run away while she still had time, but she refused.
He begged her to run while spitting out saliva, tainted with blood as his canine teeth were being pushed out from his gums and new sharp fangs protruded. Meanwhile, his nails cracked, new claws pushing the pieces off his nail bed. Christina did not understand what was happening, but she knew he was in pain and that maybe she could stop it.
"You have to leave me! Run!" he commanded her, his voice deepening. She didn't listen, and instead leaned in close to him, saying she could help him. The voice deep in his mind started to speak for him, picking up on her scent and wanting to make her regret staying.

I ended up doodling a dude who kinda looked like my friend, so I named him after him (that's not weird, is it?)
It felt empty without a story and I was feeling creative with the coincidence of a full moon falling on today was a sign lol

Interesting mini-story. And no, it's not weird. I have named characters after so many people in RL it is freighting sometimes. It's actually funny when someone finds out and they ask me if it was intentional. Usually they are flattered, but if not I don't let it bug me. My writing, my rules. Anywho, this was cool. I think it would make a good story, and I would love to see more if anything else comes of it.
