I’ve wanted to do more of the Egyptian Gods and at long last had a chance to do so.
Horus was my choice and made him a magnificent suit of armor with the inspiration from Stargate.
Hopefully there will be more to come.

Well, in later generations of ancient Egypt, Ra and Horus were actually merged into a singular being, within the Egyptian pantheon, so that explains why Ra is the more "common" entity people are familiar with, rather than Horus. Especially since before the merger, they were based off the same species of bird. =3

Review the sources cited before dismissing it, just because it comes from Wikipedia. It's actually an extremely detailed breakdown on the various times Ra was merged with other gods (Horus being among them).

Same. For me, it was the epic "ear" vanes. I was like "Did Heru'ur commission this to be put on his wall?" I only noticed the staff weapon in the comments. The epicness of Stargate cannot be overstated, even if one only looks at how effectively they adapted the Egyptian aesthetic into a science fiction setting.
So many comments. Throwing mine in here to be lost among the masses but it had to be done, couldn't pass by without saying how much I love this piece. I adore the old Egyptian gods and mythos. So rich in history and vision. Wonderful image as always. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
I really love the contrast here, it's really great, shadows are clear and so is the shading and the colors are vivid. How did you manage to do such wonderful clear sky without visible strokes??
Hope to see your prints again at this year's Eurofurence, I'm always happy to grab a print or two. ^^ Wonderful and inspirational.

OMG. I want that staff. It's EPIC.
And yes, Synwolf: There is NOT enough Horus in the fandom. He's an Egyptian GOD. I think that qualifies him as one of the oldest and most awesome furries in history.

As usual, your art is ridiculously good. I really like your proportions and anatomy, which many artists, especially those merging human and animal characteristics, don't quite do effectively. Of course, your vibrant colors always help make your work stand out. You are one of my favorite contemporary artists. Period. This includes the epic Warhammer 40k paint-sorcerers on DeviantArt. I salute you.
