Halloween 2012 was my very first Halloween dressing up as Manu Koa. My plan was to walk around the neighbourhood as a giant red-crested cardinal while my friend's daughter was dressed up as a werewolf.

Unfortunately, it rained that evening. No going out as Manu Koa on such a dark and stormy night. We still took my friend's daughter out for the usual haunts of trick-or-treating. When we got back home, I slipped into my Manu Koa costume and did some pictures with my friend's daughter inside of their home.

Still, it would've been awesome/fascinating to see how the local residents would respond to a giant bird perched right on their doorstep.

All I could picture is, "Henry! Give him all the candy before he pokes our eyes out!"

Or: "Henry! Get me the bird seed. Quickly!"

Or maybe even: "Maria! Get me my shotgun!" (Yikes! Hopefully not THIS response!)
