Ok. That's it. Who was the insentient twotbucket who came up with this "closed species" concept? I'd like to have a nice long talk with them, about the shitstorm they developed and the monopoly they created.

*laughs and hugs* It's okay, really! Some people get their panties in a twist over silly things. I don't mind someone being all grr for a few minutes or so, it's their right to do so. Doesn't mean I have to care much ^_^
I think you did an absolutely remarkable job on the species, it's unique and beautiful. It's kind of like the creator of Sergals, you know? Sure, people create their own now (They've been around long enough that people can do that) but all rights for the species go to the creator of the Sergals, this ONE guy who thought them up and made them his closed species. I'm sure he got grief over it too at some points, but the weight of the people that love them and use them as intended FAR out weigh the people that go grr and spout off unintelligent shit about it.

Anyhow, guess what I'm saying is, don't worry, babe ^_^ I didn't mind putting up with the guy's comments and I love your work and I'll promote them as YOUR closed species for a long time to come!

I think the biggest mistake people make when creating a closed species is when they don't understand copyright law and try to defend things they can't (or don't defend things they can). Go see Jijix's discussion on people asking to buy one of her characters (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5463559/). Like she points out, you can "close" some things and not others - as long as we all know the rules - who are we to judge if someone wants to use the copyright system, you know, as it was originally intended o.O
