Game is too hard
Multiplayer and co-op needs to be co-op or some PvP server fight separate from gameplay/story
too many times invaded someone, lost a lot of hours trying to get to a boss but managed to tell someone to leave my game or help me that was honest with the guy who helped me starting out.
Otherwise it spoke to me as an RPG player and still good but really needs to sit in the corner until it can be "mature".
Good luck with DSII.

well if you wanted the multiplayer to be separate you could have just played it in offline mode.
I understand what you mean though, personally I adore all the interactions because the game design brought out the absolute best and the absolute worst in people.
but even when it brought out the worst in people, they still acted with honor and respect. it's always seen as incredibly rude to not bow before a fight even when people are invading you.
with the PS3 community at least, never played it on the PC or 360.
when a game can craft a beautiful world, have it be beautifully cohesive with the story, the gameplay, the level design, the art and not only that but bring in a unique style of multiplayer that not only fits in with the lore but also enforces it. and also enforce a certain style of community through that exact same design.... jeezus, it must have taken some incredible amount of amazing genius to conceive of all that and make it work so goddamn well.

I am a nice person I just hate how I make a comment and I am flooded by something like this. I may not know you either and I am a guy but it fascinated me as a gamer to play and I get comments saying on youtube that I "sucked" or cannot play a game right when I did.
I played other RPG games and the game spoke and I thought the "prepare to die" slogan was just a challenge or something to throw off people buying it (bought it for the fun of it and skyrim, BIG plus). and two years ago I beat it by not lighting the bonfire.... and that was that. 26/40 gamerscore for the game.

See, I can respect it when you say you personally did not like it and also put in some effort to explain why, rather than just claiming the game is crap. Your initial comment just seemed really rude and unnecessary, all things considered.
Anyhow, personally I really like the game. It's arguably one of the best Action-Adventures/RPGs released during the last decade or so. It has some flaws and it's very "special", which is part of its appeal, but also means it's not for everyone.
The biggest problem was probably that it was massively overhyped, by the media as well as the gaming community. Lots of people went into it with the wrong expectations, hence the extreme range of opinions on the game. Many people love it, others seem to hate it.
Personally I'd say the developer got most things right, but it will be interesting to see how the new game will compare and what changes they made to certain features and overall gameplay.

Good job, now celebrate and get drunk!
Like you, I don't care much for achievements, but Demon's Souls is one of the few games where I at least made an attempt. I got most of them, but in the end lost interest on my 3rd playthrough or so. Funny thing is, compared to the regular game difficulty, most of the achievements are pretty easy. Just take lots of time and patience, since you have to play through the games multiple times.
So when will Dark Souls 2 come around?

Why did you do that anyway? Just a personal challenge? Or were you trying to build a character to rape n00bs in online play?
Anyhow, I'll wait for a while before I buy a copy of the game. I'd like to get it for PC but it will probably require Steam and I've only been buying DRM free games lately, so I'm spoiled and don't want to deal with Steam or similar online services. If all else fails, I guess I'll have to get it for PS3 again. For better or worse, at least I'd have the whole "trilogy" on the same platform then.

yeah I'm sticking with PS3, it has the best community out of the 3 really and you make sure you're there on day 1, pc launch is delayer so people will have figured a lot of the game out by then. day 1 on PS3 you get the thrill of exploration and discovery and you know everyone else is just as lost as you are. the way it's supposed to be heheh. (I was a member of the wiki group that would help piece parts of the story together through the clues)
and it was a personal challenge heheh, I'm too much of a sunbro \[T]/ Umbasa!

Really? What was the name of the website/group? I remember spending quite a lot of time at a wiki for Dark Souls, back when it was released. And I do remember there was lots of theory-crafting going on, regarding the cryptic lore and secrets of the game and such. Fun times.
I don't know, maybe I'll get it for PS3, as well. I'm a bit concerned, since even the original DS pushed the old hardware to its limits at times. But I guess I could always get a PC version later, if there ever is a release I'm satisfied with ( without Steam or similar "services" preferably ).
Praise the sun!
