Glad your safe the car is replaceable your not

As someone that was in a similar type of accident (my car was stopped on an off ramp waiting for traffic to move, and someone drove into the back of my car driving 55mph...of course, they were on a cell phone), my advice would be to #1) get a reputable lawyer and #2) see a doctor and get a full medical work up. It's been almost 3 years since my accident, and I still have back pain. I also almost lost my vision over a year after the accident due to problems caused by the accident, and have had 6 surgeries so far to fix the problem (still one more to go).

The best thing you can do is to prepare yourself for the worst, and hope for the best. Protect yourself first, legally and medically.

Yea. Their insurance would pay for the damage and the rest. Anything beyond their policy, you would have to go after the parents for. That's why you'll need a lawyer.
