A little more emotional than my usual stuff - this painting is about hope beyond hope, when you don't want to keep going but the sun rises anyway.

(That's a feeling i know too well to be comfortable wiith)
Another masterful piece Sari, and one that I can feel very much in tune with. I'm captured by the vastness that dominates most of the image, the sense of endless repetition of the waves breaking on the rocks and the forlorn impression of the whole sense. I wonder what it is about tones of dark blue that can achieve that emotion. The wolf is just the right size and so well highlighted that he/she is clearly visible and yet so sharply contrasted by everything surrounding that it highlights the individual's plight.
Now I just want to sit back and admire it.

Thanks! That particular landscape at dawn is something I know from my childhood home, where I used to go to the beach before dawn in winter. Although sunrises are beautiful, I find the blue pre-dawn beach to be particularly breathtaking and humbling, and something I haven't been able to capture in words or photographs. I actually find the pre-dawn calming usually, a positive thing, but it has a certain loneliness to it.
