Dragonscale can be a little daunting at first as it has a habbit to want to fall out of line in the first few rows, but after about 5-6 rows it'll pretty happily stay together and weaving gets much easier.
Example's shown are 16g 3/8" larger rings and 16g 1/4" inner rings (both metal and rubber).
I've also managed Dragonscale in 18g 1/4" for the outer rings and 20g 5/32" for the smaller rings.

you can also do an 18g 7/32" with the 20g 5/32" in stead of 18g 1/4". it still has plenty of flexibility for a bracelet, and if you have the time patience and don't mind screwing up your eyes it also works with 22g 1/8" for the outer rings and 24g 5/64" for the smaller inner rings. I made about an inch of that before I called it quits.
