afghan hounds can have quite nice fur,this ones cute,,though prob takes alot of brushing.. hehe, as a child a drew alot of female afghans,n salukis too XD

yeah mariah took about two to three hours to groom her right and on walks she always instisted on going potty off in the bushes ,so every time we went walkies i,d have to spend a hour or better getting the sticks and twigs out of her fur

hehe,pretty extreme,and anoying.. my newfoundland mix had long,think partly curly fur that got tangled alot,and tend to get crap in it.... though i`m sure, afghan hounds,old english sheepdogs have the toughest fur

well if kept properly groomed afghans have long silky fur ,mariah i had to try keeping her fur shorter because of her always getting into things and coming out looking like the afghan pup in the cartoon *what a mess* though in afghanistan where the breed is from they are two variations on the coat long fur in the mountiness regions and short furred in more desert type areas ,but even though hard to keep up i still love afghan hounds best

yeah, its posable to keep fur well groomed,, i just don`t know much about grooming myself,and dont like going to the groomer much... I have seen em with shorter fur, i thought it was just cut not breed that way.... I still like alot of double coated northern breeds XD
