A lot of people can't tell this but Chu's entire body is furless, Chu's smooth like a dolphin! But Chu's got a horse mane! (because not only is chu part seahorse the actual animal but also part seahorse as in the mythical hippocampus (aquatic horse creature) hence the hooves and mane )

But I can see why there's confusion as Chu's mane is the exact same color as the body, it blends in completely!
