I swear, every time I see something from you, I want to get back into Sculpey. <3 I've never produced anything on THIS level of awesome, but it's still a fun medium to play with. How do you attach the figure to your base?

You should get back into it!

There are thick wires going from the legs into the base were I drill the holes. Then I mush some two part epoxy air dry clay into the holes and let it dry. Occasionally I will use superglue as a final nail to make triple sure the sculpture won't be getting lose of the base.
