Your mixing is excellent as always, Flash-Black. Love the how balanced all the elements are, everything sounding very distinct and in its own place. Great use of high treble melody over the deep bass on this. I wanted to hear more melody in this, though-- I know it's not really the format, but I think the repetition of beats like this one carries better when there's a nice multi-bar melody tugging you along. Or maybe that's just making room for the vocals?
Thank you for the listen! Yep its mostly instrumental but I kinda arrange from a dance/and/or Mix perspective that would give a DJ room to fit the track in a set if they chose to remix it that way.. (I'm no DJ but I've learned a few things collaborating with them back in the day) But I'll work on something with more vocals and melody in the future.. Glad to hear my mixes are coming out better. I used a custom mastering set of EQ's and Compressors...along with some brick wall limiting... I wanted this track to go to 11.
