Wideload takes his cues from G1 Long Haul - he wants to be out in the action, but he's usually stuck carrying things around.

Sledge takes his cues from G1 Scavenger - always interested in salvaging stuff from the wreckage and using it. Unlike his peers, however, he picks up more than just odd junk.

Steamhammer's based on G1 Scrapper - an excellent and modest architect with something of a sadistic streak.

Duststorm draws from G1 Hook - a little arrogant, a bit of a perfectionist, and not really popular. Poor guy.

And finally, Bonecrusher follows his G1 counterpart to a T - he likes to make things go smashy-smashy. Not really hateful though, so that's something.
