A Conversation with the Darkness
If you could meet your darker side, what would you say to him? What would he say to you?
Just some interesting reflections on Dark Doran, and what it might be like if he and my more usual fluffy self were to meet one another in person somehow. They're opposite sides of the same coin, and they both know and accept this. Both a little nervous of one another perhaps, and what the other represents, but much more curious than frightened.
For all that I may not always feel like the most emotionally stable or stress-free person, I like to think I'm pretty well-balanced with myself and the various parts that make up a Dorey are in harmony with one another.
So for all that I'm a lighthearted and harmless cuddly goofball, and he's more of a wraithlike vengeful spirit that moves in darkness and stomps on people, he's pretty cool and we've got a lot in common. We're gonna get brunch next week.

That's always an interesting thing to study :) Getting to know our "dark side of the force" is a good way to introspect and let us know what makes us good in contrast to the evil-ish side we all have :)
On a side note, I didn't have time to catch up with all the submissions the other day, but when I saw the picture of dark Doran, I found him particularly badass :D

It's been an interesting experience. :) You know as well as anyone that I tend to be quite a friendly, upbeat, and harmless sort of dragon, so it's neat to recognise that somewhere in here are some darker feelings too, and get to know them a bit.

I personally believe that if you can't handle somone's darkside you have no business playing with their lightside either. I try to be prepared to handle both the good and bad parts of a friendship. It's probably due to my fierce loyalty.
I honestly don't know what my 'dark side' would be like....or if I had no light side? Most people who know me know that I'm usually fairly grumpy and dominating normally, so I don't know what the flipside of that coin would be.

I suppose we're all made up of different facets, some that we show more than others, and it isn't always as clear cut as a 'light side' and a 'dark side.' In my case I think it works fairly well to consider the duality this way, but things like that 'Doran's Sign' drawing I did a short while ago touch at another way to consider a similar thing too.
I can certainly see what you mean, the way you tend to present yourself is a bit 'darker' than mine, so it'd be a different, but no less interesting, question to ask what other 'sides' you've got in there I imagine. :) In my case I guess the light/dark duality was an easier decision given how 'light' I tend to present myself most times.
