The drawing of Benign is from a reference picture. Unfortunately, in my attempt to give him an interesting pose, I hid an important feature: the lion's head pendant on his necklace. It's also an odd pose: he's supposed to be nervously backing away and putting up a defensive hand, but instead it looks like he's dancing. I tried to put some highlights in his fur, but on computer monitors outside my home, they just get lost in a sea of black. Hmm.

I liked the drawing enough anyway to make a background for it and add his name to make a sort of character badge. There's a good chance that I'll never wear the badge, but it's cute anyway.

It's not really a collage. I originally cut letters out of a magazine to spell Benign's name, but they looked ugly so I just typed some letters. I did put jagged white backing behind the letters and the character to make it look like they were cut out and pasted. It also helps them contrast against the background.

Benign is usually friendly, patient, and kind. He is not the most macho guy in the world, but he can be brave or even fierce if the situation calls for it. He is polite to strangers, but enjoys playfully teasing and insulting close friends and being teased back. When his friends are tense or upset, he tends to get tense and upset himself. He likes kids and sometimes acts in a "fatherly" way towards them. He enjoys laughing and humor, but sometimes people don't get his jokes.
He likes women and sometimes acts flirtatiously towards them, but it's fairly innocent. He seems to get along better with women than he does with other guys.
He is distrustful of robots and vampires, and is squeamish about things that have to do with death and dying.
He doesn’t need too many creature comforts, but he buys a lot of music.
