This is the second in a series of tribute pictures of characters from my childhood. These guys from a bygone era played a very important role in that early part of my life, and many of them have influenced me in different ways.
Meet Ico (pronounced EE-KOH), the brave little horse. He was the main character of "Ico, El Caballito Valiente" (which translates to "Ico, The Brave Little Horse") a classic Argentine animated movie by García-Ferré Producciones (GFP). I'm not sure what year it was from, but I watched it around the early eighties, the long gone golden age of Argentine animation. Well, I fell in love with this movie. GFP has made several other animated pictures around that time, such as "Trapito" and "Anteojito y Antifáz" -all of them classics here in Argentina- but this is the one I liked the most. The characters, the ambience, the artistic direction, the mood, the whole mystery of the Giant Golden Bell the plot revolves around... Everything was just magic. It was, for me, a very special movie, indeed.
