I had some spare time at work to do something, and I wanted to do something panthery for my boyfriend, and this image just kinda popped into my head.
Or, rather, the concept did. Fortunately, I had a book on how to draw animals with me, and there was a good pic of a reclining feline that I could use as reference. Otherwise I can guarentee I never would've been able to get the kitty to look right.
I'm still not as happy with the elf as I'd like. I couldn't figure out a good pose for her. Not that this one is bad, but it doesn't look as relaxed as I'd have liked. Plus I think her head is too small.
Aaaaaaanyway, it's important to keep your elves on leashes in public, no matter how well behaved they are.

*snicker* Yeah, those elves are like that. They're prone to disappearing if you don't keep them properly leashed. :P
I like how the kitty turned out. You should draw more big kitties like that. Though I suspect he's perhaps a bit large in relation to his elf-pet. I don't think there's quite THAT huge a difference between the two of them. Otherwise, she might be squished when he tries to use her as a pillow. :P The elf didn't turn out badly. You just need a little more practice with them to be more comfortable drawing them. Even if you will take that as an excuse to draw more of your excessively large ears. :P

I think the panther turned out rather well, even if he's not *quite* as sleek as I'd assume they'd be... but, then again, you did have that book, so maybe I'm just crazy or something.
As for the elf, she looks cute too, and I think the ears look fine, though her hair looks a little odd with her position... it almost looks like she has a lion-like mane of her own. Still, nicely done.
