And now Sylvar gets a proper fullbody drawing that's not just a doodle finally. Light and Shadow breed drakhan have the innate ability to create a portal to the closest aligned world. That said, it takes an incredible amount of power for them (usually at the level of an adult), and the actual knowledge to shape the required energies correctly, which isn't exactly something passed down and also requires thorough research. Thus, extremely few have even done it. Plus it takes easily a week or more to recover all that spent power, so it's not usually safe either.

Sylvar (for those who're familiar with him) is definitely not an adult and has to use his own full power plus three additional bloodstones' worth to fuel a single portal in a month's time. Zeno/Flare is plenty younger and needs a lot longer, so he lets Sylvar do the all the work anyways.
