Named after the coach of the Notre Dame football team, Knute Rockne and only made from 1932 to 1933. The story goes that Knute Rockne and Studebaker were in talks in getting him a high visibility job within Studebaker. 12 days after being appointed manager of sales promotion, he was killed in an airplane crash leaving Kansas City.

A product of the depression the Rockne motor car brand was only destined to last two years.
