Ryuu is a Fabulous Dragon
What was meant to be a quick doodle page turned into this. My eastern Dragon Ryuu is actually my favourite character of mine so I've been drawing him a lot recently.
Regarding the top-right picture...poor Ryuu will never realise that his size means his kisses are a bit intense for regular people XD He only means for it to be a pressing of lips! "Mmm, you are delightful! Pucker up and gimme a kiss, hun ~"
Bottom right is the view you'll have after he's flown you into the air, thrown you upwards and let you fall back down into his mouth.
Top Middle is him being all superior looking down on his newly offered sacrifice...or maybe he's pulled you up close for a smooch?
Bottom left is general happy dragon face! Maybe he's happy to see someone or a person has a treat for him! "Oh darling I simply MUST have it! Ooo! Ooo! <3"
Top left is just satisfied/sassy normal face.
Yeah...I had fun XD

Ahahaha King Gator! Watching that film a lot as a kid proooobbably influenced lots of my interests! Well I've seen some that look a little odd, like huge top and bottom lip (imo upper lips look weird on animals but it depends, I have a dragoness who has them!) but that's just people's style really. I do think they look odd if they're not different colour to main fur though...real animals have those black lower lips so I just take it from that!

Wow, that means a lot! I've reworked his design over the years and I'm happy with his appearance now c: Also YES you're right, there's a huge shortage in easterns - what gives? ;~;
And there's not a more glamorous way to go then down Ryuu's fab gullet. He's a nice pred to nice people though! :D

Aaaaa really? That genuinely does make me so happy to hear that. It's funny how a character that was only intended as a one-off, perhaps low profile character at best, drawn in a tiny notepad ended up developing into my personal favourite character of mine. I've tweaked his design and personality a lot over the years but the lip and sass have always been there! :D I guess he is quite unique, I don't recall seeing other dragons or characters in general on FA like him.
I do hope you enjoy what's to come in my gallery, definitely planning on giving this dragon more love.
