I made this lovely lady last year for the Conifur NW art show. I was just now able to get pictures of her, from her new owner.

I used Super Sculpey clay, over a wire skeleton with acrylic paints to paint it.
She took I believe, 4-5 hours from start to finish.
I've been sculpting for over 10 years. It took time to learn the correct way to build up a character, but now I feel I have the hang of it. Though there is ALWAYS room to improve!
I don't feel that it was/is a hard thing to learn. I had to teach myself, because there were no classes to take for this kind of work and none of the books out there are much of a help. And at the time, I did not know anyone who did any sculpture work.

Nice to see a sculptor of your level around, not many of the old group floating around anymore, lost contact after having to stop going to conventions. They also moved on to other fandoms or work for the big three for the desinging the charactors for marketing goodies like you see in the WB and dizney stores.
