All polished up! looks pretty nice. Here it is beside the quick sketch I got from Rukis at FC. The spacing on the top is a bit tight for my ear plan to scale up by 25%, also need to round off the spikes a bit more, it's a little pointy. Still need to find an earring post long enough to reach from one side to the other.
With this done I should be able to find a local source to price out the gold plating.
Scale tells me 2.3g, post and plating will add a tiny bit.
Tempting to make one out of brass just cause it would look so nice :)
Amons earring from Rukis comic Red Lantern: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/11157202/
Will be pretty trivial to double the size for fursuit scale.
Not ready to sell these yet! plus I'm off to Vancoufur in 5 days.

Maybe use a long enough socket head cap screw that you can have the shoulder run through that part. Then cut off the extra thread on the end. #2 seems to be about the limit of knurled head ones, though, so it might take a bit of looking to find one both with the shoulder and a nice knurled head to be easily grabbed with fingers.
Wow. This is exquisite. Remind me that if I ever need a sword made to give you a shout :)
One wonders if it would be possible to make a production model by welding together segments of circular rod. 'Seems the maximum material condition would have a circular cross-section everywhere.

Heh, I made a few swords in the shop years ago, nothing too fancy.
Since these will probably be pretty low quantity, I will just array them on an extruded plate and mill them myself, do a batch of 6 at a time. It is pretty much a circular cross section but that bend/seam in the middle would be tricky, plus hardened 6061 does not like to bend much.
