Your illustration reminds me of a recent edition of Mark Parisi's syndicated comic strip "off the mark" - in which a bunch of human hunters in the jungle set up a (humane) cage/trap for a tiger, and are waiting patiently for the big cat's arrival... unaware that said tiger is already behind them, playing in the box said cage/trap came in!
