WOOPS MADE THEM INTO OCS.
WOOPS KINDA MADE IT SLIGHTLY SAD /no regrets.
Wow, I'm getting my misery fetish back. How awesome. Bran take a breather with your happy shit okay.
Anywho, Ryland, the monkey, lost his eye sight. So he had to get a 'Eye Seeing' companion whom he didn't get along with at first. They met just before Ry became completely blind. RY gave him a lot of shit cause he wasn't sure how to cope with his blindness but they became friends after Harley, the dog, just kept trying.
Gosh. Now Harley just describes stuff to him a lot, thankfully since Ry has been able to see before, he can imagine it. Though, I wonder what people born blind can see in their minds... v/u/v

You know, I went to college to become a school teacher. I didn't complete it, but for one class dealing with exceptional children we went to a school for the blind. They had kids there who were born blind, those who lost their sight, others who were only partially visually impaired. The range was huge. they showed us the numerous tricks and methods kids used to get around by themselves, art work kids did, the technology they used for getting around a computer, it was astounding. I mean losing my eyesight is one of my biggest fears, my glasses get thicker every time I get a new pair. But some easily, some with more difficulty, they all managed to work it out.
But always with the support of others so I'm really loving these guys.
They actually demonstrated how kids with impaired sight would help to lead those who couldn't see at all. I had to put on these goggles that made everything look white except for a single small hole in the left eye where I could see. I was leading this guy who was like 6' 3" and we were supposed lead them over the playground. With my lack of depth perception it didn't occur to me his head was at level with the top of this thing and he just ran straight into it. We later had a race totally blind, you want a thrill try running as fast as you can knowing there are bleachers you could accidentally run into if you don't pay attention. xD
Anyway, I love these two, not only do you draw some of the sexiest monkeys, but you always do a lot with each character's background and character. It's always nice to see that played out in the imagery. You really play them together so well. Also, the elbow arm hold, totally a method for leading th blind as well as a romantic gesture. Love that it was used. I use love a lot. :D
Spectacular OCs from a spur the moment recreation. Thank you very much for sharing.

I seriously wanna just cry from this response cause i never expected such a like... comment to even... appear. It really warms my heart that you have so much to say cause I love to read it all and it really does brighten the spirits a LOT. Like wow, I can just... go on and on about how nice this was to read, but I'll just respond and not waste time v//u//v I just...
WOW MAN. I really do love this cause... I actually don't know a lot about these things and I'm heavily willing to learn cause it's amazing how people still function so well with their sight lost, or almost lost, whichever bit of that just docked down from 20/20 vision. It's like inspiring too, cause I myself could never imagine how to live without my eyesight, as I need it to draw and it's one of my BIGGEST fears aside from my hearing. I just ... wow, it sounds so innovative how that was all done, and it's really cool too! Putting yourself in someone else's shoes, expanding your other senses and using them. It's so cool and... nklfdhbifodb I love having such dynamics, realistic ones in my characters cause people can relate and they feel something for the characters, ya know? I've had a few blind ocs, but none of them had a companion to help them out, normally they just used a walking stick or I never got too much into the character to really do anything with it.
But wow, I'd love to visit one of those schools, just to like... see what it's like, learn from experience how these things go and how they happen, like literally.
But yes, thank you so much v/n/v I just...these comments are the best when people enjoy and like the characters because of their backgrounds and their silly looks. I REALLY LIKE CHARACTERS INTERACTING WITH PHYSICAL MEANS.
Gosh thank you v//n//v

Not sure if I'd describe it so much as a sad story as a bittersweet one ~w~ Yes the monkey is now blind... but in return, he got a lifelong friend helping him enjoy everything he could when he had his vision, at least to the best of his ability. It's never going to be as perfect as it once was... but hey, friends somehow make everything seem brighter even in the darkest of times.
... also fuck my puns. "darkest". Blind monkey. hurrrrr *headdesk*
