"Like peas in a pod,
and birds of a feather,
alone or together you'll find
that we are two of a kind."
-Bobby Darin and Johnny Mercer: "Two of a Kind"
Introducing myself and my fictional nameless (for now, any suggestions?) car companion, model Škoda Octavia Facelift, year 2008. He's been shown before, but it was a sketch I decided not to finish. I will be showing his character and personality in later pictures. We're both slightly not right in the head, so this should be a fun ride.

Hadn't realized that I've never seen a colored picture of you two before. Realized because from the B/Ws I always imagined that car was black. XD I was looking through lists of names, he's such a little sweetie I wanted to get an equally innocent sounding name. What do you think of Oliver?
By the way is Škoda in any way related to Mercury? His good looks similar to what's on a Grand Marque.
Seriously though, what a freaking adorable car, his smile, those loving eyes, even the way he holds his tires is cute. I love that outfit you have, you look like a old time greaser. Very nice relaxed natural looking pose you gave yourself, I can actually really see the detail and quality of your finished work. You're probably like me, you can't upload any half-assed work, that's why you haven't uploaded any of those sketches you've shown me. :)
I really do love the shading, especially "Oliver's" interior done completely with shading. I also like how you did his eyes, keeping them looking realistic, making it obvious that his eyes are still hollow boxy headlight housings,
Nice work man. :)

Well, he was blue in the first concept, but I saw a white one and it looked much better. Sorry, but the name doesn't sound right to me :/ I'll have to look at some lists of names myself, see what I dig up. Thanks, though.
You mean Grand Marquis? I suppose there is some resemblance, but I doubt Škoda is related to Ford's divisions in any way, save for some inspiration.
Thanks, I'm glad you like him. Yeah, I try to make stuff look good. Even those sketches would need at least some cleaning - I may finish the less interesting (to me) ones in black and white shading, so they get at least some artistic treatment.
His eyes went through some evolution. I decided to keep them like this, because it's relatively simple, but expressive. I think they also look more alive with the shading in their center part.
Thanks for the great feedback :)
