"Roly-Polympics 2014: Winter Games: Parade of the Nations"
As my latest 'sweeps month' (February, 2014) winds down, so, too, does the RL Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia - with the 'closing ceremony' taking place within hours of the posting this latest "Roly-Polympics" cartoon gag.
In the 'opening ceremony' and 'closing ceremony' at these Winter Games, a major segment of both events is the "Parade of the Nations", as athletes from around the world enter the stadium.
Needless to say, in the anthropomorphic world, representatives from foreign countries (not likely to exist in the human world) participate in said parade...
Such is the case for the continent of Antarctica - whose population is comprised of some very fat penguins. And regardless of what sport(s) they are good at, and whether or not they win any medals at all, the important thing is that they are there to represent their nation, and to do the best they can (as do all competitors in the human world)...
And even though the Games of the 22nd Winter Olympics are now coming to an end, that doesn't mean that my "Roly-Polympics: Winter Games" series is going to conclude, too. On the contrary: I'll have a few more cartoon gags (with ample athletes showing their stuff) coming later in March...
