I just found this in a box in my closet! I made this in 8th grade for art class. We had to make shakers or rattles or whatever they are, and out of clay. Or we could make a whistle, but an owl shaped whistle would be weird..... We got to chose which animal we wanted. Mine is a really round barn owl. I forgot to paint the eyes before it was baked...oops.

I'm really happy with how well it turned out because the balls inside that made it a rattle had to be clay too. Mine is one of the only rattles that actually make noise.
