Icon Commission - Stars in the Deepest Dark
Eye-con commission for
Vangarthia again, this time of his black dragon, Sanitheros, who sports particularly interesting eyes. Entirely black, save for the glittering stars of an unreal galaxy, they're intended to reflect his rather unusual birth, a sort of cosmic accident.

Haha, in case you haven't seen it, the better version of my avatar is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7411319/
You haven't? o.o It's a huge series by L.K. Hamilton. One of the characters has eyes like that, a vampire. http://www.laurellkhamilton.org/works/
It's really good. So is the Merry series. Some people complain that they're too sex driven but I think they're nuts. Considering that there are succubi/incubi involved in the Anita books it's amazing there aren't more sex scenes. I think they're toned down perfectly and there's always a point to each scene.
*nods* I'm vaguely familiar. I actually was referred to the series by people who compared the Anita Blake series to the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher - they have similar themes/tones, I'm told, although I think the big difference is Anita Blake, as I understand it, has more of a "fiercely independent strong female!" slant, while the Dresden Files has more of a "nerd/fantasy satire male" slant.
Rachel has demons and other supernatural critters. The sense of twisted humor is just.. Okay. One of the swear phrases is Tink's pink titties. I kid you not. It's utterly hilarious. Mercy is a little darker but it has shifters, vampires, and the hidden folk. I love her spin on the various lore. Also, Mercy is short for Mercedes. And she's a VW mechanic XD
