The winter Olympics this year were really awesome! I enjoyed this year's performance in Sochi Russia, even if team USA had its struggles, they were however able to perform quite well and a few great memories were made - one coming out of retirement to win an elusive medal for her late father in Skeleton, the USA mens hockey team with it's strong performance early, and while it may be a controversial sport, a USA couple in figure skating also saw their first gold medal this year.

Overall, I was really happy about this years games and I knew that for 17 days, the Olympics would certainly be something to watch. From the lighting of the flame in the opening ceremonies, all the way to the official declaration/closing of the games. Now we wait for two more years, in 2016, when USA takes off to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 31st Summer Games! I can't wait!
