Hence the term "starving artist", haha! Art stores make this shit so expensive you almost have to sell off an essential body part to get a decent amount of stuff. That, or slowly compile it over two decades, which was the option I chose. There was also option number three: sell your soul. But I already did that years ago and I heard it's not a good idea to have multiple mortgages on the same soul. Especially at high APRs.
But seriously, this is where I keep all my supplies; it's a vintage armoire with shelves and a drawer in it (it originally had all drawers, but they were removed and replaced with shelves). Top shelf has several sets of colored pencils, including water color pencils, drafting pencils, various technical pens and markers, and both thin and thick-lead pencils from a few different manufacturers (General, Prang, Prismacolor, Spectracolor, etc). Oh, also brushes and gouache.
Next shelf has my Prismacolor markers and pencils. As you can see, I have a pretty heavy supply of "Cool Grey" (bottom right), as most of my non-anthro work is done with those colors.
Beneath that is a box of CD cases (to be used for those damn CDs), one package of bristol board (I've got several other art pads and such currently stored in an old cedar chest). There's also some sculpting tools and clays, although I haven't done any sculpting for awhile.
Bottom drawer has various photographs in it, since I didn't really have anywhere else to put them.

Probably at an art supply store. And I'm not being facetious. I buy all my stuff from a brick-and-mortar shop (there are 3 or 4 near where I live). These supplies could probably be bought online from an online art shop, but I'm not sure of which one would be the best to go to. I've never bought art supplies over the internet. Kinda old-fashioned that way.
Haha! Not really! The color sections in the picture are (L-R, top to bottom): green, blue, violet/purple, pink, red, orange, yellow, neutrals, french grey, warm grey, cool grey. The pink section looks pretty big because it also includes pale reds and colors like magenta, rosy beige, etc. Kind of a melting pot for all the colors between purple and red.
