WIP Updated Family Pic - sketch and prelim inks
I managed to make progress on a drawing for the first time in YONKS! I'm gonna TRY to finish this, but when you're constantly drugged up and feeling lousy it's easier said than done. I never managed to do much while on bedrest with Val either, and you'd think that being stuck horizontal all day would mean you'd get a LOT of art done. HAH!
Anyhow, so this is just the sketch with the first round of inks over it, and that's why no one has their markings in yet. There's Greer playing with a Zelf toy, because Valentine has been obsessed with them lately thanks to my collection of 'em. The baby arctic fox isn't Moxie; her name is Annaliese, nickname "Burrito". We don't give the kids fursonas or anything like that coz' I don't wanna force that sorta thing on 'em, we just use stand-in characters the way we do with V&A. Anyhow, Burrito is sleeping on Arty because Moxie is a huge Daddy's girl and never. leaves.
rdewalt . ALONE. Vinci is working through a puzzle book because I have a Small Thing for puzzles. I've gone through about three books since this whole pregnancy-from-hell started, and they're a nice distraction since I don't have much energy to do much else.
The "egg" is actually an incubating case, because I don't wanna spoil the surprise of what the new kid's animal is by the shape of the egg. :) I figure V&A stretch onesies and bonnets over the faux egg and carry it around with them like it's already an infant. Why? Because they're dopey like that.
The fox is our roomie,
sirfox , poolboynannysisterzenmaster extraordinaire. He's enjoying a margarita while Arty has one of his now infamous garlic & sriracha shots. I can't remember how many he chugged during the gaming livestream, but it was a lot. Everyone else in the house also got to smell the aftermath. It wasn't pretty.

I grew up in an environment where I was expected to only like and do things my mom and grandmother wanted me to like and do, and got punished if I showed any different preferences, so it's reaaaaally important to me that the kids are allowed to be their own individuals and figure out their likes and dislikes on their own.
Everyone's family is different, unique to the family. Trust me, with our family, one plaque that I've seen in catalogs fits: "Remember, as far as anyone knows, we are a normal family." Of course, every family has its quirks; like those sriracha and garlic shots (yeah, if my brother had a straw, he'd probably drink ketchup right out of the bottle), and your thing for puzzles (I have a mind for trivia and puzzles of all sorts). So, yeah, some quirks can be very similar, but still entirely unique.

...Although I do have to ask... Since Sirfox draws some ... uh smut... What would you do if one of your kidlets walked in on him drawing some naughty bits? :p I have an artist friend who draws some explicit stuff as well as artistic nudes and her niece thought that the penis was just a rocket :')
