Continuing my latest 'sweeps month' (February, 2014), here's another rare drawing from the pages of my "BBS" (Big Black Sketchbook)...
A few weeks ago, when I saw (and had 'faved')
ToonFX's "Gloria shoes" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12655339/) - a sketch involving a female feline tying the laces of a pair of oversized shoes - I was immediately reminded of a similar sketch rendered in my "BBS" by talented cartoonist/writer
Fred Perry - the creator of the long-running anime-style comic book "Gold Digger" (published by Antarctic Press).
I'd met Fred at the 1993 edition of PhilCon (in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) - when "Gold Digger" was still in its infancy - and he was more than happy to render an image of 'Britanny' (his were-cheetah character) in my sketchbook. His drawing depicted her in a shoelace-tying (or, rather, untying) situation, not quite unlike the scenario 'Gloria' was going through.
