Unsure if this shoreline is naturally accurate, but it was fun.

I don't think this is naturally accurate for a tidal formed shoreline.
But 100% natural for an eroded riverbank.

I've seen river banks like this, so I wouldn't doubt it could happen at lakes, too.
One of the coolest exposed roots of a tree I've seen though, the roots went around a good sized boulder, and when the river had swept all the dirt away, it stood suspended by the roots about an inch and a half above the riverbed.

Mangroves can handle brackish and salt water they have some awesome adaptations like the ability to excrete salt from their leaves as well as prop roots (or aerial prop roots in red mangroves) and pneumatophores (in black mangroves only) which combat hypoxia caused by the anoxic soils they grow in. All in all it would be possible but the soil and tree would look different if it were a mangrove.
And now you know
(brought to you by a friendly neighborhood new biology graduate)
It does look friggin sweet though.

So before I leave my (anal)ytical comment, lemme just lay your commentary worries to rest, Fisk:
Your shoreline is naturally accurate!
Now the picture to me could've used a back ground...Even a sort of low-on-detail, high-on-artistic-touch kind of thing, lots of lines and shapes of a horizon even but no heavy detailed stuff, yanno...Cause fog and such! :p
I believe the water would've seemed more serene and calm had you added some reflections to it, food for thought more than a comment.
The girl sitting against the tree trunk is perfectly set in the picture(Some other pictures which shall remain unnamed that I've seen which have mild similarities to this setting always try to emphasize the key point of an image by making it seem unnaturally present). I like how you've not really gone above and beyond the call of duty to make the girl in the picture stand out more, it gives a more natural and free feel to the image, which I also think was the point.
I'm also kinda relieved you didn't make this NSFW, that wouldn't have fit at all to me X3
That's about it. So for artistic feel, pretty much no issues that I can personally spot, and because of the flipping amazing frog in the water surface that made me giggle? I give thee 5 hearts, Fisk.

mmm.... looks foggy to me.
Been out on lake pontchatrain on days like this, you just can't see clearly past any real distance. also as far as the NSFW comment, why not?
I mean, there is just something about knowing the fog will hide you. You can hear an amazing distance, the sound of a boat motor or even paddles is easily heard. I have a few friends who enjoy going out nude if the weather is slightly chilly when it's foggy. The feel of the breeze across skin that is usually covered, knowing that nobody will see you, but they might gives it a thrill of the naughty without any real danger. The light mist leaving tiny pearls of water all over the skin. No restrictive clothing.
it's a very intimate form of 'me' time.
eh, not that I've done it myself. Or would admit to if I have.

Why not? Because it wouldn't fit the picture to me. + I feel that there's 'WAY!!!' too much NSFW furry art out there, no wonder most people have the notion that furry =/= Sexual deviants no matter what, when that honestly isn't true(To some extent anyway.)
And I felt that since you have artistic freedom, you are allowed to bend, or even break the laws of physics if it makes your picture more like what you intended it to be...Such as making the fog slightly thinner to make the back ground more interesting than just a gray solid wall.
But you know, to each their own.

no, i completely understand that NSFW thing. in this pose though, it wouldn't be sexy, or even degrading. hell it wouldn't even be porn. Just a woman relaxing. the moment isn't so much intimate as personal. so.. I guess it's not so much the NSFW as it is the smut I don't approve of. And most of it badly done.
as far as deviants, i've seen more real world photos of 'artistic nudes' than i have furry. I completely agree. another misconception is that nude is porn. Hell, chewbacca never wore the least bit of clothing.

I used to dislike Red because she wanted Fisk to cheat on Elizabeth, but my opinion of her changed after reading her back story. She's one of those girls I just wanna give a cup of hot coco, my jacket, and a nice long snug. I know she can take care of herself, but I wanna tell her "its OK" and I just wanna hold her and make sure no one will ever do what her father did to her again. Now she's one of my favorite Naylor characters.
Mr. Naylor you're great at making characters that I've become emotionally attached to.
