One of the most widely distributed eagles of the Northern Hemisphere, the Golden Eagle is a successful hunter with a wingspan upwards of 8 feet and the ability to glide at speeds of 120 MPH. They have been used extensively in falconry, most famously in Asia where they are used to hunt down foxes and wolves.
They appear extensively in both many culture’s symbolism and religions, including Prussia, German, and Russian coats of arms, among other appearances in nation’s flags and cultural heritages. To many First Nation’s people, their feathers are symbols of honour, with the bird itself seen as the highest, swiftest flyer amongst all other birds and revered for its hunting skill.

GOLDEN IGGLES.
Still a favourite even if they are common as dirt, I DON'T CARE THEY LOOK SO NEAT.
My favourite lore is the accidental murder of Aeschylus the dramatist whose head was mistaken for a rock by a tortoise-wielding eagle (and goldens in and around Greece are known to predate tortoises in exactly that manner).
