Chaos Croc's using this moment to "experiment" somewhat on poor Thorn... the special shackles are roboticizing him, forming a metal shell for his programming to inhabit, as a floating forcefield keeps him from flying off somewhere. The special key-shaped USB device contains a nasty bit of control software that he COULD use to remotely command Thorn as a mindless minion... but it's all just a test. Thorn will totally be back to normal in a few hours after he runs some diagnostics. Pinky swear!
