Most would think *thats a Mad Cat, why the name Timber Wolf?* Because it is the right clan Designation. The name Mad Cat come from the first encounter of the Inner Sphere with the Timber Wolf, The IS Mech Computer tried to identefy this new MEch and Jumped Between MAD(shorten form for the Marauder Mech) and CAT (Short form for the Catapult Mech). After this the IS used MAD CAT as their Designation for the Timber Wolf.
