Great Grey Owl

A large owl of the Northern Hemisphere, the Great Grey Owl has amazing hearing, with the ability to detect prey under two feet of snow. Their ‘ruffs’ or facial disc, allows them to focus sound to find food. They are the only owl that ‘snow-plunges’, diving into snow with this ability.
