Let's Go There Someday
A very belated gift for
bagheera and one that still needs to be brushed up, and colored, and whatnot. XD I'm too damned slow. :C But I hope he likes this anyway. ^^
Young Baggy and Nighty are fortunate enough to catch a meteor shower in action, and I can imagine Nighty saying that very like "Let's go there someday!" :)

Thank you! <3 I know it's super rough and blah but it gets the idea across of what I have in mind...I hope to make it look so much better, but really wanted to evoke that childlike feeling of wonder and awe. ^^ I remember times like this when I was young...and to be honest, they've never really left me. I still have that same awe that I did then!
Dear Autumn:
I am terribly sorry for commenting on this so late - I've been a bit preoccupied with other things and I really didn't want to leave a half-hearted comment on a piece like this one. You always draw me very meaningful things so... they each deserve proper thoughts and careful words.
Believe me when I say the innocence and the feeling of wonder that came from childhood is one of those things I deeply treasure, and am always trying to recapture in my day-to-day. There's a reason Balaa and I often speak of, or draw, our "cubbins". We didn't share a childhood but we hope we did, and in those moments... we do.
You and I on the other hand did share a portion of our childhood - at least, our youthful years anyway. And that is something I deeply cherish - and something Balaa sometimes wish she had shared with me as well. I think this piece may carry more meaning to me than originally intended, in the sense that not only did it capture the feeling of youthful wonders, but it brought me back to a time we once shared. Of all my friends you are the one I have the most emotional struggles over - not just the heartbreaks and tears but primarily just resentment over how life kept us apart. That is a shame, but I hope it also means you will believe me when I say this piece will be cherished for the memories it conjures.
Thank you for this. :>
