Stories tell of a king many ages ago, a ruler so gluttonous and greedy, that his human form could not contain all of his wickedness, and so, he was cursed, turned into a monster befitting his soul - A giant, fat rat king. His rule was long and terrible, twisting the forms of his subjects with dark magics, making them his scurrying rodent-like slaves. Eventually, his lust for power, food, money and flesh drove his kingdom to ruin, collapsing when there was nothing left for him to consume.

However, these stories also tell that his wickedness was too great to simply die along with him... It lived on in his twisted crown, so that he might manifest again, in any soul fool enough to don the crown, beginning his reign of terror and excess all over again...
