If you blow up the original image up to huge proportions and then zoom in even more, it makes keeping a steady hand much easier. You just have to zoom back out to check things like line weight and such, but over all it's much easier to make nice smooth lines that way. Plus, when you shrink down the image for uploading, it'll hide many minor mistakes. I picked up that trick from one of my favorite web comic artist's tutorials. ^.^
Hehe, and that would be why using Photoshop drives me bananas. I feel it's best to pace myself. I usually work while in-world in SL. I color in between lulls in the conversations, or when I'm waiting for friends to come on line. It keeps me from getting too frustrated with it.
