As some of you already know, 
vvolf recently took me to the 2014 Texas Furry Fiesta. He called this an "abduction", though anyone who knows where and how I live will understand what a willing victim I was.
Before the big day, vvolf had asked me for a description of my character for a room sign he was planning. There was no room sign when we arrived, but I figured it was still pending or something...
vvolf is a sneaky fellow, yes. I returned to the room between panels and found this little beauty waiting for me, purchased from 
shivaestudios in the Dealer's Den.
This was the only non-convention badge I wore for the rest of the trip, of course.

Eh... I said I was thinking of maybe getting a room signed, but yes, it was all a ploy to get your permission for character art commissioning... because while I may be a villain, I'm a polite, benevolent villain. Desired thematic choices were obtained via a series of questions to help obfuscate their true purpose then I... oh dear... I'm mono-logging again aren't I?
The only comment I'd added to your descriptions when commissioning the badge was making your shaman staff suggestion be the staff you'd posted a picture of ("I present my present").
Tiff does good work and is a friend, so I thought I'd help make your abduction more memorable whist increasing her badge sales.
