So. . . after a lot of consideration, I figured I'd take a crack at doing traditional COLOR badges again, for the first time in. . . I think four years? It's been awhile.
The reason I generally don't do colored badges at cons is because they take me awhile and I have to bring my materials in order to work on them. BUT, I'm painting and sketching a little faster these days, and since we're driving. . . I can actually pack my traditional media.
So here's a little example of what these badges would look like. I'd absolutely have to charge around $60 for these, because they take me 3-4 hours a pop. But, that being said. . . would anyone be interested? Please no drama over the price. The time these takes me is the MAIN reason I don't do them anymore, and I don't want to get any guff about it. I'm fine with not doing them at all, honestly, I've just gotten a lot of requests over the last few years' worth of congoing for colored badges, and I figured it'd be worth trying at least once more.
So if you're going to FWA, or would just like to get one of these from me at a future con, lemme know, and I'll bring my stuff. I don't know if I'm really gonna advertise them much, save maybe having the example somewhere on my table and being like 'yeah, I could do those if you really want'. I'd be just as happy doing nothing but sketches, honestly :P But hey, let it never be said I didn't offer.
And no, not interested in taking these outside of cons. I like the person-to-person experience for commissions these days, and I have a backlog of work to do at home when I'm home. I only take commissions at cons because I cannot do homework when I'm away from home.

Oh boy. You are gonna kill me at this con. You are one of the first artists that was my idol when I first entered the fandom a couple years back. Now at my first con, you'll be there. I'll have to look at budgeting and see what I can afford, but I'll definitely just be happy to see you!
Its funny. if you charge $60 for 4 hours of work, you are making $15 dollars and hour. I work with people that just sit on their but and sometimes smoke that get paid more than that. Now I am not encouraging you to raise the price, but I think we are actually getting a great deal here. So thank you.
