I FINALLY got this shot! Mac with a Yellow Nose 3 painted EMD diesel! CSXT 4319, a rather rare GP39-2, and the last in her numbered class, pulls a cut of autoracks onto the mainline as Mac poses. The engineer and conductor loved me! XD

That is awesome. Too bad it's not an SD80MAC, though. If I had a fursuit, I'd have to go somewhere like Illinois or Green Bay to get a similar picture.

omg, I think I heard this train come through Ashland, VA. I listen in to 161.550Mhz on CSX's dispatch channels, I swear I remember this locomotive's number! How ironic!

I can't remember when. But I remember this number because this train was blaring its horns very loudly at about 4am. Turned on my scanner and tuned in. Heard the engineer call out the number, and the BD dispatcher was giving track directions or something. Not very knowledgeable on trains, but I've lived next to the tracks forever!

4319 has a very loud K5LA horn, that's for sure! Though, in transit from one yard to another, you wouldn't hear her horn--she'd be 'dead-in-tow', being pulled behind a set of larger road locomotives.

heh, no idea. But like I said, the number sure rings a bell. I immediately thought of the event when I seen this. Beautiful train though. CSX and amtrak rule the Ashland rails. I get stuck behind the gates every day! :P

She could use a touch-up, but she still looks great! I actually love to see dirty, rusty diesels, as it's a real indicator of what they can go through!
