Box jellies have a hauntingly beautiful blue hue.
Nex is one of my oldest characters, and is a Chironex fleckeri (or box jellyfish) merman.
Note (since people seem to enjoy learning something in these posts): This species is scientifically proven to be by far the deadliest creature on the planet. Chironex is a highly evolved, fast moving transparent blue jellyfish that actively hunts its prey. It is easily able to kill 70 humans in as little as 30 seconds... more toxic than any other organism, ever. Many people stung while swimming do not make it to the shore alive. That is the power of the box jellyfish, understandably the larger merform is many times deadlier.

Actually they have been known to kill people in as little as 30 seconds. 3 minutes is a very generous estimate.
Even this science-film (look about halfway into it to see the box jellyfish) says only 1 minute, for 70 people to die.

In a word you are simply amazing! Not just the sheer amount of information you seem to have at your disposal but the talent you have to reproduce these amazing creatures, capturing the exact coloration and reflectivity of them is just breathtaking. I would giftart for you but I fear I would come up short in my attempt.
