Ferrets are hard work to take care of, specially if you're new to them. I follow a lot of ferret shelters/rescues... They don't want to see ferrets come back to them, so they prefer people with experience (so they're picky with reason!). Even for a long time ferret "owner" (I don't own companion animals) like myself, sometimes they can be a little too much . Wouldn't have it any other way though!
They would have had no way of knowing if I was experienced or not because they never responded to give me their survey. Although I don't have any experience but I do want a ferret someday. My thoughts were I wanted 2-3 so they could have company and i wanted to get ones that were already bonded and in need of a home especially since animals that are paired together are harder to adopt out on general than individual animals.
I always do plenty of research before I get any new animal! I actually have quite a few from snakes to cats and dogs and birds and turtles and fish and opossums, ect. ^.^ I just don't understand what happened. I have a 3 story ferret nation cage and all the supplise and everything :c They used to update their website regularly but they stopped a few months ago.
