Final WIP example of the Danger Ball Replica from Tank Girl.
(Production version will be smooth.)
This replica has interchangeable parts that switch it between two actions: one has a button you press to move the blades out and the second has a string you pull to move the blades in, providing a "switchblade" ejection appearance.
I am taking names for those interested in placing a preorder: $60 for unfinished pulls (including shipping within the US.)
This will include the spring needed for it to function. Looking at LEDs I'm finding them to appear pink instead of red so I may include a cast red part instead of an actual LED to put in the top.

It's a replica of a weapon used in the movie Tank Girl; if you haven't seen the movie I'm sure it's a mystery. :)
In the movie, the first scene it appears in the young girl in the movie shows it to Tank Girl (main character) the above item and shows the blades pop out.
The second scene has the little girl being set up as a prostitute with a guy (someone famous I still cant' recognize) when she shouts "Don't take my silver!" He says "you shouldn't have that", opens the lunchbox she had and holds this in his hand. He asks "What this?" and she says "It's the Clapper", claps her hands, and the blade sticks into his hand and out the other side. "Thats what you get for being a perv!"
Beyond the Tank itself this is the most unique weapon used in the show. :3

Designed it in Maya, printed in PLA (ABS like material.)
It took a bit of work to make the insides move like they do and allow it to be printed in parts without causing interference with the moving parts. I had to learn a lot of printing setups to get overhangs to print without slouching, which made testing the moving parts harder.
I'm taking names for those interested in one before running a high detail, smooth surface print to make molds with. Way too expensive to do it otherwise, despite wanting to do it for myself. :D
