So there it is, the very first "I HATE NARUTO" headband! If you're interested in one, I'm going to be selling them for £14 each.
I actually have nothing against the anime itself. I've never seen it. And I never will, purely because of the truely rabid fans, who never stop going on about it. That is the inspiration behind this piece. Join me in antipathy of this obsession!
The panel is water-jet cut from 304 Stainless Steel, the band is a meter long and made from very comfortable moleskin cotton. It has been sewn together by a professional costumier, then hand riveted to the plate.
(Also, providing these sell, there will also be a companion "NARUTARD" headband made available. Ying to this one's yang, so to speak.)
And yes, the photo is of myself and taken by myself.
EDIT:
"Naruto" is indeed a trademark, but I believe that parody like this would fall under fair use. If not, then then I'll probably get a cease and desist order sooner or later.

At this years I-CON, you couldn't walk five feet without bumping into a Naruto cosplayer. The thing I love about cosplay - even when I am not familiar with the series, game, whatever the character comes from - is the effort that goes into making the costume. I've grown to resent Naruto cosplayers because they are so numerous and buying the equiptment is so easy (they sell the headbands, jackets, and other things at Hot Topic for gods' sake!).
I have nothing against the anime/manga. I used to read it when I started in the US version of Shonen Jump and I saw a few episodes of the anime and it's not bad.
... but man. I am sick and tired of seeing it everywhere.

I don't mind Naruto... THAT much. The show itself is decent. I know this because I get bored an occasionally flip on the television and there it is. But the FANS are just GOD AWFUL annoying. Not to mention the fact that it leads people to believe that ninja do not, in fact, suck the gigantic, hairy, decaying fuckstick that is, in reality, lodged in the collective throat of the entire group.

I am one of those people who, if told that I will enjoy something, will automatically proceed to dislike and avoid it just out of spite. I did it with Harry Potter, I did it with The Hobbit (until my mother paid me to read it, in which case I gave in because I gained money out of the deal), and now I am doing it with Naruto. I can never ever watch it because all of the insane irritating fans keep telling me it's so awesome and they're obsessed and I will totally love it forevers. I refuse to love it, HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT?
