Charlie Ross- You lived an amazing and wonderful life that touched so many others. I count myself ridiculously lucky to have shared in the small fraction of it that I did. I only wish I had visited with you more in recent years to hear all of your stories from you instead of your loved ones. No matter when you passed, it would always have been too soon.
Jules Jammal- You were an awesome teacher. Your class gave me confidence and work to actually look forward to and enjoy. The stories you shared with us of your own college experience gave me hope for my own. You will be missed by so many. It's not fair that you had to leave the world so young. You are in my thoughts, and so are your wife and baby girl.
Link- You were the first bunny any of us had ever had. You showed us what a loving and friendly pet a bunny can be. Thank you for all the soft, warm hugs when I was feeling down. Good bunny.
And to my grandfathers. Now that a little time has passed I feel I can finally say a few words for you both as well.
Grandpa Dawson- I wish so much that we'd spoken more than a handful of times in my life. Your paintings were wonderful. I still love the drawing set you gave me all those years ago.
And Grandpa Ivey- I'm glad you were able to stay with us as long as you did. You were a great man. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to explain the person you were with my own stories of you. Taken out of context the meaning always gets lost. But I've always been so proud of you, and enjoyed sharing the more amusing Pearl Harbor stories with friends. Though the war hero is not how you should be defined in my opinion. Your life after the war deserves just as much honor and praise. As Gail said, it didn't matter whether or not you were interested in your kids' and grandkids' interests. Whatever made them happy was good enough for you. I wish you could be here to see my fursuit when it gets finished, but I can already picture your reaction and just what you'd say, and it makes me laugh. :3 You build a wonderful home and family full of love. Love that spread to others and made them family too. It still surprises me how much emptier and quieter the house seems without you sitting in your chair. You asked Jeff if there was anything else you could've done to make life better for the family, of course he said no, there was nothing else. But the more we think about it the more we realize it's true. You did everything you possibley could for all of us. With very few words too, but you always managed to say exactly what needed to be said. Your passing was a loss, but it gave us one last gift from you, it brought everyone together for the first time in a long while. We all love you and miss you. I hope what Jeff said at the funeral is true, and that you're playing golf in Asgard now, because that sounds like the most epic round of golf ever! X3
