It was rather warm and pleasant he thought in his half dream-like state. His mind serene and calm wishing for nowhere else to be but the calming embrace of sleep. Fate as it seems has decided otherwise as an incessant light had decided to creep from the shadows and shine directly into his face. The green unicorn scrunched up his eyes and simply rolled over to free himself from it's torture. The light however remained steadfast in its resolution, simply changing it's position and resumed it's handiwork. The unicorn now perturbed simply decided to stuff his head under the pillow in his futile attempt to return to the land of slumber. The light however simply moved once more to shine directly under the pillow in which he had stuffed his head. He let out a low growl trying to clasp the pillow down further over his head with his hooves but to no avail.
His constant flailing to free himself from this torment soon earned a low audible chuckle that cut through the dead silence of the room. His eyes sprang open and his ears perked up. He was not alone, as the moving light should have been his first clue to this fact. His mind was too addled with sleep to fully register it till now.
As if in response the light soon floated from his vision and the unicorn lay there for a brief moment, unmoving, unsure of what to do or how to proceed with this new information.
He didn't have time to think over it long before the voice prodded. "Are you going to get out of bed or do i have to yank the covers off next?" The voice was soft and almost motherly in sound yet it's tone suggested that she had every intention of following through with that threat.
Begrudgingly he slid his head from beneath the covers and started rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "NyI'm up. I'm up." he groaned. Slowly he opened his eyes to find a bunch of blurry colorful shapes. In the confusion he brought up his other hoof and rubbed his eyes once more. "Why can't i see?" he asked.
"Here, this should fix that." said the voice, and a small object to his left lifted up into the air on it's own and situated themselves on his snout. All at once the world around him became crystal clear. His eyes locked on the beautiful white Alicorn Princesses before him. The one on the right was tall with white fur over her body, her main however was a stark contrast of soft differing Hughes of sky blue, each marking the different colors of the sky from sun rise to sun set. Each blending into the other smoothly. To her left was another Alicorn that was a a stark contrast to the first one. She was midnight blue with a matching main with colors that mirrored the night sky, complete with sparkling lights that seemed reminiscent of stars.
"Who are you?" the green unicorn on the bed asked. his eyes abruptly sprang wide at the internal revelation that prompted his next question. "For that matter, who am I?"
"Calm yourself, you have nothing to fear from us." The taller white Alicorn spoke with a soft yet diplomatic tone. "I am Princess Celestia and this is my Sister Luna, and as for who you are, well this per-recorded message should provide you with the answers you're looking for.
The little ball of light with a sunburst on it that had assaulted him earlier soon flitted to the foot of his bed, the sunburst soon fading out to be replaced by his own face, the expression in his own face seemed to imply a much older mind behind those brown eyes. The unicorns gaze locked on the image as his recorded image finally spoke. "Hello Phillips Quickfix, by now you're probably waking up and very confused. I want to assure you that this was done by my... your own decission. I came to them of my own free will and asked them to help me start over. A new life, a new place, and a past that I desperately wish to remain forgotten. This was not our original form but i have asked the sisters here to help you acclimate to pony life. I realize that this is a lot to take in but I believe it is in your best interest to not peruse anything pertaining to who you were. It doesn't matter now and will have no influence on any future decisions you make as of now. Please trust in them, and make some friends. If i had any, i probably wouldn't have gone to these lengths. Anyway that's all I have time for, Its time to have my memory wiped now. Good luck Quickfix, and Gods speed."
With that the message fizzled out to be replaced by the sunburst once more. Phillips looking more confused than ever, but now knowing there was a good reason he sighed.
"Are you alright?" Luna asked with concern.
"I'm fine." Quickfix answered. "That's just a lot to take in." He looked up at the two once more with a smile. "I still have many questions but I will honor my former selves last wishes. Where do I begin?"
