I wrote this when my girlfriend dumped me.


The Twisting Blade
Closing her eyes, the damage was done,
Advice cruelly asked, a heart discarded.
Salty drops rain from eyes of gold,
unable to breathe from pain so deep.

Forget the snow, forget her laugh,
Forget the love, she will never be back.

Forget the memories, the hopes, and dreams.
Forget her name, you have been replaced.

A deep heaving sigh, a broken heart still beats,
The sun still rises, time continues.
She clicks the mouse, closing the window,
shutting out the words, learning to begin anew.
